Parents of Addicted Loved Ones
Woodford County’s Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) meets the first and third Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at Versailles Presbyterian Church, 130 North Main Street, in the conference room. 
All are welcome to the meetings, including parents, relatives and friends who have a loved one in addiction of drugs or alcohol. Come and find support and obtain a better understanding of your loved one.

The Versailles High School Class of 1962 will hold it’s 2nd Annual
Christmas Luncheon on Dec. 6, 2024 at The Woodford Inn from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Woodford County Republican Party meets the first Monday of every month.

Woodford Theatre 
Woodford Theatre presents The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, dramatized by Joseph Robinette from the story by C.S. Lewis. Dec. 6 and 7 – Friday: Tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m., Santa, carolers and Jane’s School of Dance performance. Saturday: Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast with Santa 8-11 a.m. at First Christian Church, Santa Shuffle 5K and Kids Dash at 1:45 p.m. Christmas parade with K-State Band at 5 p.m.
Dec. 13 – Sip 'n Shop in Christmas pajamas. Shops open late 5-7 p.m. and gift wrapping available in certain shops.
Dec. 14 – A Wonderful Woodford Christmas Saturday in The District with Santa, bounce houses, ice skating rink, s’more fire pits, Christmas Tree Village and more. Noon to 4 p.m. Candlelight caroling event Main Street 4-5 p.m.

Woodford County Woman’s Club
The Woodford County Woman’s Club will meet Wed., Dec. 4 at 10:45 am. at the Pisgah Church Academy Building off Pisgah Pike. The program is from the Kentucky Humanities Chautauqua series, featuring Simonette Cochis as “Madame Mentelle, Educating Young Women.”  Madame Mentelle came to America from France in 1794 and opened a school for Young Ladies in Lexington. Her most famous student was Mary Todd Lincoln. The meeting is open to the public. Call 859-873-8989 for more information.
