Free Diapers at Versailles

Free diapers will be distributed monthly to families on the second and fourth Sunday of the mongh from 6-7 p.m. beginning April 27.  Details about the distribution as well as information about how you might be involved in the “Diaper Bank” can be found at https://www.versaillesumc.org/. Parents of Addicted
Loved Ones
Woodford County’s Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL) meets the first and third Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at Versailles Presbyterian Church, 130 North Main Street, in the conference room. 
All are welcome to the meetings, including parents, relatives and friends who have a loved one in addiction of drugs or alcohol. Come and find support and obtain a better understanding of your loved one.

Woodford Theatre
Woodford Theatre Young Artists present their April Showcase. Performances will be on Friday, April 25 and Sunday, April 27 at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by visiting our box office Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. or by calling 859-873-0648. Salvation Army Unit
The Woodford County Salvation Army Unit meets on the second Thursday of the month at Bluegrass Community Hospital at 11:30 a.m. in the second floor conference room. The unit is always looking for new volunteers. Salvation Army helps with many community organizations such as Coats and Shoes for Kids, Bluegrass Community Action, Family Resource Centers and the Red Kettle campaign. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Woodford County Chamber of Commerce
On Friday, April 25, Lunch & Learn, “Building A Brighter Future” will be at 12 noon at Callie’s Homestyle Restaurant, 447 Lexington Road.
On Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, theAnnual Main Street Clean-up will be held in Midway (meet at Walter Bradley Park) and in Versailles (meet at the Woodford County Courthouse).
On Monday, April 28, at 8:30 a.m., there will be a chamber speed networking event at KCTCS.

Woodford County Senior Citizens Center
Donate to our “Fill Our Bag Rummage Sale.” Donations will be accepted Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. –4 p.m. until April 30 at 285  Beasley Drive. All donations will be used for the Senior Center’s rummage sale in May with proceeds benefitting the Senior Center. We are not accepting: clothes (including shoes), bed and bath linens or pillows of any kind. If you have questions, please call us at 859-873-8384.

Life Adventure Center
Life Adventure Center invites the community to its Spring Open House on Thursday, April 24, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., for an afternoon of outdoor fun, family-friendly activities, hands-on demonstrations, ice cream and prize giveaway – all set on the beautiful LAC property in Versailles. Guests can climb the bouldering wall, enjoy guided mountain biking (3:00–4:00 PM, weather permitting), and experience an exciting horse vaulting showcase from 5:30–6:00 p.m. in the indoor horse arena. A live prize drawing will follow at 6:00 p.m., where one lucky winner will take home four tickets to the Lexington Legends’ opening weekend.

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program is offering Farmers’ Market vouchers to those 60-plus. If you would like to be put on the wait list, or have questions, please call the Senior Center at 859-873-8384.
